The Woman King(2022 movie) review

 When you see an academy award winner like Viola Davis as the main character then you should know that film is going to be spectacular, now when you add African themes and history and our colorful culture add this things together with a spice of Viola Davis boom 💥 ,of course it will be epic. The woman king is about the Powerful female warriors of the ancient Dahomey Kingdom, the Agojies, it's about how they fight with their fierce skills and protect their Kingdom from exterior forces. This movie is awesome,  the score is on another level, it literally gave me goosebumps, the fight scenes were top notch, you could literally feel the African culture depicted in the movie. This movie should be nominated for the Academy award and even stand a chance of winning it . It was surely one of the best movies of this year and if you haven't watched it you should . Rotten Tomatoes 🍅 gave it 94% I think it should be more of a 96%.

About the actresses/actors everyone can agree with the fact that all of them were really good, with the spectacular Viola Davis who played the lead role Nanisca, she was just so good but I'm not surprised it's Viola Davis we are talking about, she has an EGOT so it's no surprise to how good of an actress she is and she is one of the Black Queens of Hollywood, the beautiful South African actress Thuso Mbedu who played Nawi was so amazing in this movie, now that's what I call acting, pouring all your emotions and selling the reality of your role to the audience that was a great performance from her, Lashana Lynch who played Izogie, she was also another actress who sold her acting to the audience she was even funny by teasing Nawi, the Ugandan British actress Sheila Atim who played Amenza gave a brilliant performance and Hero Fiennes Tiffin who played the Portuguese slave trader Santo Ferreira, finally he played a better role than what he did in the After film series, and our Nigerian brother John Boyega, it comes as no surprise as a brilliant actor he changed his accent and performed his role as King Ghezo exceptionally well, all the other casts were superb what a great film this was, it really showed how powerful women can be.
